Crème Brûlée French Toast Recipe

Okay, so we all know that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. But, just letting you know that this is just as (if not more) true for women as well. To be honest, anyone who receives this Crème brûlée French toast is about to fall in love with you.

With a creamy decadent French toast custard and caramelized burnt sugar on top…Mmmmm…could there be a more perfect Valentine’s Day breakfast in bed or belated Valentine’s Sunday brunch? To make it a little festive, try our pink raspberry whipped cream as well.

French Toast:

4 Large eggs 
½ cup Half and Half 
¼ Icing sugar 1 tsp Cinnamon 
1 tsp Vanilla Extract 
6 Thick slices of your favourite bakery fresh or homemade bread

Method: Heat a pan over medium heat. In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients except bread. Dip bread in mixture and put in the pan. Cook until golden brown on each side, remove from heat and serve immediately with raspberry whipped cream, maple syrup and fresh berries.

Raspberry Whipped Cream:

1 cup Whipping Cream 
2 tsp Raspberry Syrup

Method: With a bowl and whisk or stand mixer whip the cream until stiff peaks, Fold in the raspberry syrup

For the best possible results, serve it in bed.
