Each Tuesday starting May 22nd until September 4, join us to attend unique workshops, classes, and events held by some of Manitoba’s most celebrated businesses, makers, and creators, right here at Pineridge Hollow.

May 22nd

“Mommy & Me” Flower Crown Workshop $60

Instructor: Miriam from Hello Darling

Join us for a fun night out with your little ones in celebration of mother’s day! Learn how to make your own silk flower crown with the help of the talented Miriam from Hello Darling! She will teach you her own ways with the opportunity to add some personal touches to your own crown! All supplies are included in the workshop as well as some light snacks and refreshments.

$60 plus tax, for a mother and her little one. Additional children will have to pay $60

May 29th

Spring Herbs Workshop $40

Join us for an evening all about herbs! Build your own herb planter in one of 3 themes: Italian Garden, French Bistro or Mediterranean Mix. Learn the proper care of your herbs from planting to preserving. Also sample a few chef inspired creations using herbs from your pots!

June 5th

Calligraphy Workshop with Jennifer Bianca $70

Instructor: Jennifer Bianca

Come on down and learn the amazing art of calligraphy. Jennifer will teach you the basics of brush pen calligraphy. You will have the help from an instructional booklet, a tracing pad, and brush pen. The workshop will finish off by putting the technique you have learnt to create your own 5×7 print! No previous calligraphy experience required. All supplies are included as well as some light snacks and refreshments.

June 12th

Verde “kokedma” $70

Instructor: Verde Plant Design

Koke (moss) + dama (ball) = kokedama. Known as the poor man’s bonsai or string garden, because no dish or container is required, kokedama is a pretty sweet way to design with plants! Get your hands (really) dirty and create your own kokedama ball. The people behind Verde Plant Design will guide you through the whole process and teach you how to care for your new creation. Hang it or place it on a beautiful tray or dish, it’s your choice!

All materials are provided including moss, special soil mix, and your choice of plant.

June 19th

Cocktail Making Workshop with Abiding Citizen $40

Instructor: Chad from Abiding Citizen

Learn how to make your favourite cocktail with the help of the professionals from Abiding Citizen. They will be providing Shrubs, Bitters, and Simple Syrups to help teach you the ways of a tasty cocktail. Come out and enjoy an evening of sipping on cocktails and enjoying some light snacks!

June 26th

Zumba in the Amphitheatre

Instructor: Jan Keryluk – janicekeryluk.zumba.com

Jan takes the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check. In the case of rain, this event will take place in our outdoor event tent.

July 3rd

Summer Wreath Workshop $50

Learn how to harvest live product like vines, branches & foliage. Build a base with instruction from a member of the Pineridge Hollow creative team and create your own beautiful summer wreath. Enjoy some light Pineridge Hollow snacks & refreshments.

July 10th

Watercolour Painting with Lisa Whitehouse $45

Instructor: Lisa Whitehouse – www.whitehouseart.ca

Learn to paint with watercolour with local artist Lisa Whitehouse. You will be guided through sketching out your subject and gradually adding layers of colour to create your own image of one of our furry friends outside! No experience required, no previous art or drawing training required. All supplies included in the workshop, snacks and refreshments will be served.

Yoga with Kailey Lefko from Educalme

Instructor: Kailey Lefko

  When Kailey found yoga it was love at first downward dog. A science teacher, she wanted to combine her love of teaching with her passion for yoga and wellness so she completed her yoga teacher training in Nicaragua in 2015. Kailey now co-owns Educalme and creates ready-to-use online guided mindfulness practices for classrooms and families and teaches yoga and mindfulness workshops in schools and daycares. Kailey combines her love of biology, her playful spirit and her deep connection with nature in her teaching and offers her students the chance to flourish on and off the mat. Suitable for all skill levels. In the case of rain this event will take place in our outdoor event tent.

July 24th

Macramé $70

Instructor: Rhonda from Collective Workshops

Come learn the art of Macrame with Rhonda from Collective Workshops. In this intensive workshop you will learn all the knots to create a beautiful plant hanging macrame in your own style. Rhonda Wiebe will guide you through the whole process and you will leave with a finished piece of art! No previous experience is required to attend the workshop. All supplies are included in the workshop as well as light snacks and refreshments.

July 31st

Taylor Art Work “Greenery Art Work” $45

Instructor: Taylor Peters

Description:  Learn to paint a monstera and palm leaf with local artist Taylor Peters. You will be guided through the sketching and painting process of the two leaves. No experience required, no previous art or drawing training required. All supplies included in the workshop, snacks and refreshments will be served.

Cake Decorating Workshop $60

Instructor: Connor Loechenor

Description: Come join us for a fun night of cake decorating. Connor, the pastry chef at Pineridge Hollow,  will be there to give you her expertise on how to properly ice your cake and then you will get to use your own creativity and decorate your cake how you choose. No prior experience is needed and all supplies are included.

Oak Knoll Farm Tour $20

Instructor: Jan Regehr

Description: Join us for an evening on the farm. Receive the full tour of the farm that provides Pineridge Hollow with lots of produce as well as pork and chicken. Learn about the practices involved in regenerative farming. Gather some of your own produce to take home with you and enjoy snacks and refreshments around the fire.

September 4th

Basics of knitting with “Knits by Che” $70

Instructor: Che from Knits by Che

Description: Have you been interested in learning the basics of knitting? Well you’re in luck! Join us for an evening all about knitting with the help of Che from Knits by Che! Che will walk you through the steps of creating a beautiful toque for when the weather gets cold! No previous knitting experience required. All supplies are included as well as some light snacks and refreshments.
